Women's Track & Field Heads to Sykes & Sabock; Barowski to the Armory

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/4/16) - After a decisive win in the annual HYP meet last weekend, the Princeton women's track & field team returns to action this weekend for a pair of regional meets.
While most of the Tigers will compete at the Sykes & Sabock challenge at Penn State, one elite athlete will head to New York for the Armory Invitational.

The meet is set to begin on Friday at 1:30 p.m., with the pentathlon in which Taylor Morgan, Kerry Krause, Frances Lodge and Mikaela Sawyer will compete. The final event on Day 1 is the 5k at 8:25 p.m., featuring Melissa Reed. On Saturday the first event for the Tigers will be the mile at 12:15 p.m. Taking on that event is Birdie Hutton, Jessica Ackerman, Brighie Leach, Zoe Sims and Rachael Chacko. The meet concludes with the 4x400 relay at 3:25 p.m.

Cecilia Barowski will run in the women's 800 invitational (event 43) slated to being at 2:02 p.m. on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
Princeton won its second consecutive HYP title and sixth title in the last seven years at Ocean Breeze Park, with 90 points. Harvard was second with 62 and Yale third with 28.
The team won nine of 17 events, including wins by Meghan McMullin (500), Cecilia Barowski (800), Katie Hanss (1000), Brighie Leach (3000), Allison Harris (pole vault), and Brielle Rowe (weight throw) and the 4x400 relay of Barowski, McMullin, Elisa Steele and Carly Bonnet.
Highlighting the meet was a school record by Lizzie Bird in the mile clocking 4:39.32 to break the 4:40 mark. Taylor Morgan personally earned the team 13 points by winning the high jump and long jump, while finishing second in the shot put. Other
