Barowski has a PR of 2:02.14 in the event, which she ran in 2014 at a race in Sacramento. She is coming off of an Ivy League Heptagonal title in the 500 from last weekend.
This is Barowski's first time competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships. She has competed in NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2015 in the same event and was also a Regional qualifier in 2013. She earned honorable mention All-America honors last spring for her 19th-place finish at Outdoors.
Barowski is the first Princeton Tiger to compete in this event at the NCAA Championships, and the 14th athlete from the program to compete in the championships.
Six of the 16 that raced last year return including Olicia Williams (Baylor) who finished third, Hanna Green (Va Tech) who was fifth and Brooke Feldmeier (Oregon) who took eighth. The top time in the country belongs to Oregon's Raevyn Rogers at 2:00.90. Georgetown's Sabrina Southerland follows at 2:03.10, then Barowski.
