Craver, Lodge and Sawyer Go 2-4-5 in Heptathlon

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/15/16) - The Princeton women went 2-4-5 in the heptathlon as the multi events commenced the 2016 Princeton Outdoor Invitational.
Sophomore Maia Craver took second place in the women's heptathlon. She collected 4,444 points. Freshman Frances Lodge was fourth with 4,345 points and freshman Mikaela Sawyer was fifth with 4,260 points.
Craver was second in the long jump with a leap of 5.27 and was also the runner-up in the 800 at 2:28.56. She took ninth in the javelin at 19.54.
Lodge won the 800 with a time of 2:24.53, was fifth in the javelin at 26.53 and seventh in the long jump with a mark of 4.74.
Sawyer had two third-place finishes today as she clocked 2:29.01 in the 800 and threw 31.54 in the javelin. She took fourth in the long jump with a jump 4.96.
Lehigh's Gabrielle Wardle won the heptathlon with 4,920 points.
The Princeton Outdoor Invitational continues tomorrow with the women's hammer throw at 10 a.m., at West Windsor Fields. The first track event will be the hurdles at noon at Weaver Stadium.
