After a one-week hiatus the Princeton cross country teams are back in action this weekend, the final competition before Ivy League Heps. The Tigers host the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14 on West Windsor Fields. The men's 8k race is at 9:30 a.m., while the women's 6k race begins at 10:30 a.m.
Competing at the meet are teams from: American, Columbia, George Mason, George Washington, Guelph (men), Hampton (women), Harvard, Hofstra, La Salle, Lehigh (men), Lipscomb, Marist, Maryland (women), McNeese State, Monmouth, Penn, Rider, St. Joseph's, Stony Brook, Temple, Towson (women), UMBC and Laval.
The Princeton women's team will race its middle distance crew on Saturday, while the distance corps group will compete at the Penn State Open on Friday, Oct. 13. The meet will give Princeton a great look at the squads in its region, four weeks in advance of the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. Currently ranked fifth in the region, Princeton will face five other teams in the region including the top four, as well as 14 other out of region opponents including four nationally-ranked squads.
