October 23, 2017 | Women's Soccer
Playing in her home state of Massachusetts over the weekend, Tiger freshman Eve Hewins scored her first career goal at Harvard, and now she's netted her first Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor.
Hewins is Princeton's first Ivy League Rookie of the Week honoree since Abby Givens won the award on Oct. 3, 2016. Princeton players have already claimed five Ivy League Player of the Week honors this season.
Hewins had Princeton's fifth goal in a 6-1 win over the Crimson, an outcome that tied the largest margin of victory ever in the series with Harvard and was the largest margin for the Tigers on the Crimson's home field.
Princeton, at 12-2 overall and 4-1 in the Ivy, will be back at it Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against Cornell at Roberts Stadium in the Tigers' final regular-season home game.
