Volleyball Bounces Back With Win Over Brown, Gets Within One Match Of Yale

Freshman Alexa Underwood gave an early demonstration of her potential Saturday night in Dillon Gym, as she posted a career-best 15 kills while hitting .481 in a 3-0 home win over Brown.
Underwood, who dealt with a preseason injury that limited her until the middle of the Ivy League season, provided a spark for Princeton, which jumped right back into the Ivy League race with the win over Brown and a 15-13 fifth-set win by Penn over Yale.
While Underwood had a huge effort, reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year Maggie O'Connell added 10 kills and hit .348 in the victory. Sophomore Devon Peterkin had a match-high 14 digs and eight kills, while classmate Jessie Harris led the Tigers with 35 assists and eight digs. Junior Nnenna Ibe added seven kills and three blocks in the win for Princeton, which remains home next weekend for home matches against both Columbia and Cornell.
Both matches will be streamed live on the Ivy League Network.
