Vigilante Named Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year

Princeton men's cross country coach Jason Vigilante has been named the Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday.
This is the second time Vigilante has been the recipient of the The Harry Groves Award, also receiving the honor in 2014.
The 2017 Ivy League Coach of the Year led his team to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship on Oct. 27 with all five scorers finishing in the top 10. With a team score of 28, it was the lowest score at Ivy Heps since 1987. On Saturday, the Tigers won the Mid-Atlantic Regional to automatically advance to the NCAA Championships. Princeton posted a score of 57 with all five scorers in the top 25, and 52 points better than the second-place team.
Ranked No. 28 in the country Princeton will run for the NCAA title on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
