PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers moved into third place in the Ivy League standings with two victories over the Cornell Big Red and the Columbia Lions this weekend.

Bella Alarie - Alarie was lights out against Cornell on Friday as she went 8-of-11 from the floor, registering 21 points. She added five rebounds, three steals and a block as the Tigers rallied for a 58-54 victory. It was her fourth 20+ point outing of the season.

Against Columbia, the freshman again made an impact on the defensive end as the Tigers held the Ivy League's leading scorer, Camille Zimmerman, to five points in the first half. Alarie had four blocks in the game. She also contributed 11 points, two rebounds and two assists. The Bethesda, Md., native has scored in double figures in eight straight games and has 22 swats during that stretch.

For her performance against Cornell and Columbia, Alarie was honored as the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week. It's her seventh Rookie of the Week accolade, the second most in Princeton history.

Cornell's Three-Point Shooting – Cornell's Megan LeDuc was outstanding on Friday as she was 5-of-11 (45 percent) from beyond the arc, scoring a game-high 20 points. Princeton held the rest of the team to 0-of-10 from distance as Cornell went 5-of-21 (23.8 percent) in the game.

Nia Marshall – Marshall had a sparkling first half against Princeton, going 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) from the field, scoring eight points. The senior also added eight rebounds as the Big Red raced out a 35-27 halftime lead. In the second half, Princeton held Marshall to just 2-of-7 shooting (28.5 percent) for six points. The Big Red forward also went 2-of-6 from the free-throw line and only mustered one rebound. She finished with 14 points and nine rebounds on 6-of-13 shooting.

Camille Zimmerman – In the first half as the Tigers ran off to a 38-16 halftime lead, Zimmerman was held to just five points (2-of-10 shooting) and two rebounds. The junior guard finally got going in the second half as she just missed two shots in eight attempts and made five free throws as Columbia outscored Princeton by 12 over the final 20 minutes. Zimmerman had 19 points in that stretch as the Lions closed within six with 21 seconds to go, but couldn't get any closer. For the game, Zimmerman had 24 points, six rebounds, four steals and two blocks.

Rebounding - Â The Tigers won the rebounding battle against the Lions, 42-39. Five players for head coach Courtney Banghart's team had at least four rebounds highlighted by Leslie Robinson's fifth double-double of the season (14 points, 11 rebounds). In the Tigers' thrilling first half, they had 26 caroms compared to Columbia's 19 and now sit eighth in the country in rebounds per game (44.1).
