The lead for the Princeton men's basketball team was just five points early in the second half at Columbia Friday night, but the Tigers broke it open on the way to a 64-45 win.
The Tigers have now taken 14 straight games, continuing their longest winning streak since 1998, and have started 11-0 in the Ivy League for the sixth time in program history and also the first since 1998. This Princeton team is the 17th in Ivy League history to start 11-0.
Princeton took off on a 26-6 run to turn a five-point lead into a 25-point advantage at 56-31 with less than eight minutes to go in the game and closed it out from there.
Devin Cannady finished with a game-high 18 points for the Tigers, getting all 18 on six 3-pointers, while Myles Stephens added 16 points to join Cannady in double figures. Mike Smith led the Lions with 11 points.
Princeton will head to Ithaca for a 6 p.m. tilt with Cornell Saturday for the team's final regular-season road game.
