West Coast to East Coast for Softball Team as Spring Trip Winds Down

The Princeton softball team spent most of spring break in California, and although the break isn't over yet, the Tigers will trade coasts and play four games in New York, hosted by Long Island University.
Princeton will play two Saturday, against Long Island at 11 a.m. and against Binghamton at 4 p.m., and two Sunday, against Binghamton at 10:30 a.m. and Long Island at 3:30 p.m.
Senior Marissa Reynolds enters the weekend leading the team with a .407 average and rookie Megan Donahey close behind at .395. Senior Claire Klausner has thrown a team-high 38 1/3 innings with a 3-3 record and a 4.20 ERA.
LIU (12-16) will host Quinnipiac Friday looking to break a six-game skid with rookie Angie Rizzi at .396 and junior Erynn Sobieski is 7-5 with a 4.75 ERA in a team-high 84 innings. Binghamton (5-10) is coming off wins over Buffalo and Maryland and has Jessica Rutherford as its leading hitter with a .370 average and Rayn Gibson is at 3-4 with a 5.59 ERA in a team-high 38 2/3 innings.
The games are the last for the Tigers before Ivy League play begins next Friday at the Class of 1895 Field against Brown. Â
