Ackerman is 800 Runner-Up at Mark T. Young Invite

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (4/1/17) - Senior Jessica Ackerman's second-place finish in the 800 highlighted Princeton's performances at the Mark T. Young Invitational at Yale this afternoon. Ackerman ran 2:21.07, while junior Melana Hammel was fourth at 2:23.34.
Junior Mattie Baron doubled in the 200 and 400. She was third in the 400 at 1:01.18 and later placed ninth in the 200 at 27.87.
In the 1500, the best finish for the Tigers belonged to senior Maria Seykora. She was sixth overall at 4:51.81.
Three Tigers took fifth in the horizontal and vertical jumps. Freshman Hadley Wilhoite was fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.60, while junior Delaney Kerkhof leapt to 10.82 in the triple. Sophomore Kerri Davidson's 5.25 gave her fifth place in the long jump, while senior Ariel Becker was 10th at 5.05.
Sophomore Katlyn Rymarzow, junior Brittany Henderson and senior Lauren Santi all cleared 3.35 in the pole vault. Rymarzow was sixth based on attempts, while Henderson and Santi tied for eighth.
Princeton hosts the Sam Howell Invitational next weekend, April 7-8 at Weaver Stadium.
