Men's Tennis Team's Senior Day Set for Saturday as Penn Visits Lenz
April 25, 2017 | Men's Tennis
Seniors Jonathan Carcione, Tom Colautti, Alex Day and Josh Yablon will be recognized prior to Saturday's 3 p.m. match against Penn at the Lenz Tennis Center in the Tigers' regular-season finale.
Admission is free. The team will have match updates on its Twitter feed @PtonMensTennis, and in the event of inclement weather, the match would move indoors to Jadwin Gym.
Princeton enters after splitting last weekend's homestand against Harvard and Dartmouth. The Crimson shared the league title with Columbia and Cornell, and the Lions earned the Ivy's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament thanks to its No. 24 ranking announced Tuesday by the ITA.
For the Tigers, Saturday offers the chance at firming up a winning record both on the season overall and in the Ivy League, a finish that would make the Tigers five for five in winning overall records under Billy Pate.
Penn took last season's Ivy League meeting in Philadelphia 4-3, but Princeton has won the last four home matches against the Quakers since Penn's last such win in 2007.
Junior Kial Kaiser, who had the clinching fourth point in Sunday's win over Dartmouth, enters the final match leading the team in dual-match wins, with 11. Colautti and Day have 10 apiece. Day and Gamble, ranked 51st in the nation as a doubles pair, lead the team in dual-match doubles wins, with 13.
