Bell Unleashes a Personal Best to Win Discus

Senior Jared Bell had the best throw of his collegiate career with a 54.51 (178-10) to win the discus as Princeton sent a select number of athletes to Army West Point's Twilight Meet in an attempt to gain qualifying marks for the NCAA East Regional.
All of Bell's throws were over 50 meters and he quickly took the lead off his first toss of 51.56. He then a PR of 53.50, 50.43 before he unleashed another PR of 54.51 on his final attempt. This throw ranks him 30th in the NCAA East descending order list to put him in contention for a Regional bid. His previous best was 53.14 (174-4) from the 2016 Heps.
Junior Garrett O'Toole posted his fastest time of the season in the 1500 at 3:46.03, his first sub-3:47.
Princeton hosts the IC4A Championship at Weaver Stadium this weekend, May 12-14. The NCAA will announce the qualifiers for the East Regional on May 18.
