Sophomore Andrew Diehl had a big jump of 2.04 (6-8.25) in the high jump to take second place as Princeton host the IC4A Championships at Weaver Stadium. It is just a half an inch under his personal best of 2.05 from the opening meet of the 2017 season. Senior Xavier Bledsoe took sixth with a 2.00 (6-6.75).
Sophomore Adam Kelly finished second in the hammer throw as he landed his best throw at 64.96 (213-1). It came on his first countable throw after a foul on his first attempt. He followed with throws of 64.91, 63.20 and 62.56. Junior Gabe Arcaro was in the top nine to qualify for the finals. He finished ninth with a 53.13 (174-4), with all of his throws being over 50 meters.

In the discus, senior Jared Bell claimed fourth place. Just two days after he rocketed a PR of 54.51 at the Army West Point Twilight Meet, Bell hit 51.61 (169-4). He began the day with a 51.01 before landing the 51.61 on his third attempt. He also found 48.03 before passing on his two final attempts.

Junior Spencer Long took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles as he made the lap in 52.74. It was the second fastest time he has clocked this season, behind the PR he ran at the Larry Ellis Invitational of 52.61. Â

In the steeplechase, freshman Perrin Hagge ran a personal best of 9:15.32, more than three seconds off his previous time from Ivy Heps.
Princeton will prepare for the NCAA East Regionals, May 25-27, with the NCAA qualifiers being announced on Thursday, May 18.
