Six of the eight Ivy League teams will be at Yale this weekend as the Tigers return to the MacDonald Cup at Yale's home course for the fourth straight year.
Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard and Penn will join Princeton and two Yale teams from the Ivy at the event, along with Bucknell, Central Connecticut State, Fairfield, Fordham, St. Edward's (Texas, Division II), St. John's, and Stirling from Scotland.
Senior Eric Mitchell won the individual title as a freshman in 2014, and the Tigers are coming off a fourth-place finish in a 16-team field last year.
The teams will play two rounds Saturday, with Princeton's five beginning at 8:20 a.m., and one round Sunday, with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., on the par-70, 6,825-yard course. Marc Hedrick, Jake Mayer, Vinay Ramesh, Evan Quinn and Michael Davis will be in the Princeton five with Sam Clayman (8:10 a.m. tee time), Caden McLaughlin (9:20 a.m.) and Eric Mitchell (9:30 a.m.) competing as individuals.
The tournament will be Princeton's third of four on the fall, and it comes a week after the Tigers finished second by a stroke to Drexel in a field at the Dartmouth-hosted Quechee Collegiate Invitational that included five Ivy League programs. Sophomore Quinn was also close to a title, finishing atop the leaderboard at the close of the 36-hole event before coming up just short in a playoff.
