Paternoster Earns First Ivy League Weekly Honor
October 15, 2018 | Women's Soccer
In recognition of scoring her first career goal, Amy Paternoster has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Paternoster's goal with just less than eight minutes to go in the first half turned out to be the only goal in the Tigers' 1-0 win over Columbia that helped keep the Tigers in contention for the Ivy title. The chase for that will go on this week, when the Tigers host Harvard at 1 p.m.Â
Penn and Harvard lead the league with 10 points, three more than the Tigers. Princeton will have its chance against Penn at home on Nov. 3.
Paternoster is Princeton's first Ivy Rookie of the Week honoree since Eve Hewins on Oct. 23, 2017.
