Vigilante and All Five Tigers Earn Ivy League Honors

Coming off of its second consecutive Ivy League Heps championship and 20th overall, the Princeton men's cross country team had all five scorers earn all-league honors.

Despite winning his fourth Heps title since he's been at the helm, and defeating the second-place team by 31 points, Vigilante shared Coach of the Year honors. Vigilante has guided the Tigers to Heps wins in 2012, 2014, 2017 and 2018.

Four Tigers were named first-team All-Ivy League including junior Conor Lundy. He has earned first-team honors all three years as he placed second this year and third place as both a sophomore and a freshman. Junior Gannon Willcutts was named to the first team after taking second-team honors last year. Sophomore Matt Grossman and senior Jeremy Spiezio also earned first-team honors for finishing in the top seven. Princeton's final scorer, sophomore Ed Trippas was named second-team as the Tigers were the only team with all five scorers earning all-Ivy League honors.

Princeton is now ranked No. 25 in the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll, as the only Ivy team in the rankings, and remains No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

The reigning Mid-Atlantic Regional champions look to repeat again next Friday, Nov. 9.
