Vigilante Named Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year

Princeton men's cross country coach Jason Vigilante has been named the Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, it was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). This is the third time Vigilante has earned The Harry Groves Award, winning in 2014 and 2017.
Based on finishing in the top 25 at Regionals, all-region honors were presented to third place overall finisher Matt Grossman, fourth place Conor Lundy, Gannon Willcutts (8th) and Viraj Deokar (20th).
Princeton won the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional with a score of 61, 12 points lower than second-place Villanova - a pace six seconds faster than the Wildcats. All seven runners were in the top 65 with the top five scorers going 3-4-8-20-26. It marked the Tigers' third Regional title and second straight.
Princeton is ranked No. 23 in the latest national poll and will race for the NCAA title in Madison on Saturday, Nov. 17.
