Princeton Races in National Championship Saturday

The Princeton men's cross country team races for the national title on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the NCAA Championship in Madison, Wisc. The race is set for a 12:45 pm ET start.
This is the 16th team appearance for the Tigers in the NCAA Championship and second straight. Princeton's best finish in program history was in 2012 when the squad placed 11th.The Tigers are familiar with the course, having run it at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in late September.
Princeton is currently ranked No. 23 in the latest USTFCCCA national poll after winning the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, and is the only Ivy League squad ranked in the national poll.
Princeton, led by the Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year and co-Ivy League Coach of the Year Jason Vigilante, is undefeated in the postseason. The team turned in a first-place performance at Heps with a score of 30 and won the Regional with 61 points.
The Tigers top three have consistently been Matt Grossman, Conor Lundy and Gannon Willcutts. Lundy was the runner-up at Heps and was fourth overall at Regionals. Grossman was one place in front of Lundy at Regionals and fifth at Heps. Willcutts claimed fourth at Heps and eighth at Regionals.
The final two scoring slots have been shuffled, with Viraj Deokar, Jeremy Spiezio, Eli Krahn, Ed Trippas or Perrin Hagge all in contention.
