Princeton Moves To 5-0 With Sweep Of Williams
December 01, 2018 | Women's Squash
The third-ranked Princeton women's squash team swept all nine matches Saturday against #13 Williams to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Tigers won all matches by 3-0 scores, including the varsity season debut for senior Camille Price, who dropped only eight points in her win at the #9 spot.
It was an impressive finish to a road weekend for the Tigers, who also swept Amherst Friday night. Princeton, which was able to rest starters on both ends of the weekend trip, got wins from members of every class in the victory over Williams.
"My team and I approached our match today vs Williams with high energy in hopes to continue our winning streak," said sophomore Emme Leonard, who won at the #3 position. "I personally was happy with my performance today since I established good length and was confident attacking to the front corners from the very beginning of the match. I won in 3 games, but had great rallies with my opponent. Playing Williams and Amherst this weekend was a great way for my teammates and I to get more comfortable playing matches, and we are all very excited for our match verse Drexel this Wednesday."
Princeton will host the Dragons Wednesday evening in a match that is set to be streamed live on ESPN+.
