Let's take one more look at the Tigers' victory over Quinnipiac – Box Score | Recap | Photo Gallery
Â
Jen Fay – Coming into Saturday's contest as the Bobcats' leading scorer, Princeton held Fay to six points on three baskets. Fay missed all her three-point attempts (four) and finished 3-of-9 from the floor. She secured three rebounds and three assists, but did have three turnovers in the loss.
Â
Offense? – The Tigers' defense was outstanding on Saturday, allowing just 21 points in both halves against Quinnipiac. The Bobcats before the contest, averaged just 12 turnovers per game, but finished with 21 against Princeton. Quinnipiac's 42 points was its lowest output since March of 2016 while no player scored in double figures.
Â
Defending The Three-Point Line – The three-point line wasn't much of a factor for Princeton as three players knocked down treys in the game. The Tigers had more success as the charity stripe, hitting 21-of-27 in the game including 17-of-20 in the second half to pace the offense in a win.
Â
Here are a few notes to keep in mind vs. Monmouth …
Â
Offensive Struggle – The Hawks have not been great offensively to start the season. Monmouth is 323rd in the NCAA in scoring offense (54.9) and is 331st in field goal percentage (33.9). The Hawks have registered under 50 points three times already. Their highest scoring total is 69 in an overtime loss at Lafayette on Saturday.
Â
Sierra Green – Green is Monmouth's leading scorer at 15.5 points per game. She has scored in double-digits in every game except for one and has scored over 20 points in her last two matchups. The junior is among the best in the country in three-pointers made (3.25) at No. 24. She is shooting 33.3 percent from deep.
Â
Gabrielle Rush – The senior has snagged at least 10 points in each of the past five games, the best stretch of her time at Princeton. She is third in Division I in three-point attempts (89) and 22nd in makes (28), however, the guard has given much more than her shooting. During these five games, she's posted the first two double-doubles of her career, blocked five shots and is averaging 2.2 steals per game.
