Britt's Five Goals Pushes No. 22 Princeton Over George Washington, 15-11

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Behind a five-goal performance from Eliza Britt, the No. 22 Princeton Tigers evened their record at 4-4 with a 15-11 victory over the George Washington Colonials at the Charles E. Smith Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Highlights:
Britt's five goals are a career high.
Princeton trailed after the first quarter, but a six-goal spurt in the second frame gave it a 7-4 lead at the break.
The Tigers scored five more times out of the intermission to put the game away, taking a 12-6 advantage into the fourth frame.
The Recap:
After trailing by one goal after eight minutes, Princeton tied the game just 27 seconds into the second quarter. The two teams exchanged tallies before the Tigers ripped off a three-goal spurt to take a 6-3 advantage. In front, 7-4, as the third quarter got underway, Princeton scored four consecutive times and eventually took a 12-6 lead into the final stanza. George Washington never got close than three the rest of the way.
Princeton will take part in the Crimson Invitational next week (Mar. 3-4). The Tigers will battle Wagner on Saturday (4 p.m.) along with San Jose State (8 a.m.) and the University of Toronto on Sunday (10:40 a.m.). The games will be streamed on the Ivy League Network.
