Princeton Remains No. 17 in CWPA Varsity Poll, Heads To California This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 17 Princeton Tigers head west to California to take part in the Loyola Marymount Invitational (Mar. 16-18).
Head coach Becca Dorst's team has a tough slate with three of its four games coming against national ranked opponents. The Tigers take on No. 24 California Baptist (4 pm/1 pm PT) and No. 23 Marist (7:45 pm/4:45 pm PT) on Mar. 16 before taking on Fresno Pacific (11 am/8 am PT) and No. 11 Loyola Marymount (4 pm/1 pm PT) on Saturday.
Princeton has never lost to California Baptist (3-0) and Marist (13-0) in program history. The Tigers have never faced off against Fresno Pacific and is 3-12 all-time against Loyola Marymount including a 10-2 loss earlier this season. Each game this weekend will have live stats.
After a 14-point weekend at Hartwick, Haley Wan jumped to the top of the team leaderboard in goals (25), points (41) and steals (25). She's tied for the team high with 16 assists. Chelsea Johnson is second on the squad with 20 tallies while three others, Lindsey Kelleher (19), Amy Castellano (18) and Eliza Britt (15) all have at least 15 goals. Kelleher is tied with Wan with 16 helpers. Marissa Webb is 7-6 as the Tigers' goalie with a .537 save percentage and 130 stops.
California remains as the top school in the Collegiate Water Polo (CWPA) Varsity Poll that was released today. Stanford fell to No. 2, followed by USC, UCLA and Hawaii. Michigan kept its spot as the top CWPA school at No. 9. Princeton stayed at No. 17.
