Princeton Secures Two Victories Over Top 25 Teams at LMU

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The No. 17 Princeton Tigers earned two victories during day one of the LMU Invitational at the Burns Aquatic Center on Friday evening. The Tigers took down the No. 24 California Baptist Lancers, 8-6, and the No. 23 Marist Red Foxes, 8-7.

Princeton opened up by holding California Baptist without a goal for the first 10:25 of game time. During that span, the Tigers went in front, 3-0, as two tallies from Wan leading the way. Head coach Becca Dorst's squad led at the intermission, 4-1.
Trailing by three, California Baptist posted three straight goals to tie the contest at 5-all as the clock read 2:46 in the third quarter. Lindsey Kelleher's tally 92 seconds into the fourth frame gave Princeton a 6-5 advantage. After the two teams exchanged goals, Princeton would hold the Lancers off the scoreboard for the final 3:28 to pick up the decision.
