Reigning Ivy Champs, NCAA Quarterfinalist Tigers Announce 2018 Schedule

2018 Schedule
Ten home games, including three home non-conference games against 2017 NCAA tournament teams, are on the docket for the 2018 Princeton women's soccer season.
The Tigers, reigning Ivy League champions and coming off a run to the NCAA quarterfinals, will have a rematch with 2017 NCAA second-round opponent North Carolina State on Sept. 2, part of a weekend that begins with an Aug. 31 home-opening visit from regional rival Saint Joseph's. Princeton will open the season with a New England road trip at New Hampshire on Aug. 24 and Boston University on Aug. 26.
The rest of the non-conference schedule will see the Tigers make the short trip to Rider on Sept. 6 before hosting two more 2017 NCAA tournament teams in Hofstra on Sept. 9 and Georgetown on Sept. 13 before wrapping up with Drexel at home on Sept. 16.
Princeton will have one non-conference departure from the Ivy League slate once the league season begins Sept. 22 at Yale, Oct. 2 at home against Bucknell. The Tigers will have four Ivy home games, Sept. 29 against Dartmouth, Oct. 6 against Brown, Oct. 20 against Harvard and Nov. 3 against Penn. Along with the Yale game, Princeton will go to Columbia Oct. 13 and Cornell Oct. 27.
The Tigers return 37 of their 44 goals from last season, led by rising junior Abby Givens (12), rising senior Mimi Asom (10) and rising junior Courtney O'Brien (nine). Princeton also brings back keeper Natalie Grossi, a rising junior who carried an 0.57 GAA last season.
