Reynolds Shuts Out Columbia as Tigers Take Series Finale in Run-Rule Win

All three games of the Princeton softball team's series against Columbia ended in run-rule fashion, and in Sunday's finale, it was the Tigers putting up the big numbers.
Allie Reynolds tossed a two-hit, one walk, 9-0 shutout, her fourth shutout win in her first year as a Tiger. Princeton provided run support from the start, with Keeley Walsh doubling home a leadoff single from Megan Donahey in the first, and then Kylee Pierce adding a two-run double to bring home Walsh and a Mackenzie Meyer base hit for a 3-0 Tiger lead after one.
Alex Colón added a solo homer in the second, and Princeton added two more runs in the third when Danielle Dockx doubled home a leadoff Meyer single and Colon then singled home Dockx for a 6-0 lead.
Princeton then put the game into run-rule range with a three-run fourth, reaching six straight batters with an error, a Pierce RBI-single and a Dockx ground ball bringing home the runs.
The Tigers, now 7-8 in the Ivy, will host Penn for a three-game series with one Friday and two Saturday at the Class of 1895 Field.
