4x800 Takes Second at Penn Relays

Penn Relay Results l TCNJ Results
The Princeton women's 4x800 relay took second place on the final day of the Penn Relays today at Franklin Field. The relay clocked an 8:54.07 with junior Jackie Berardo leading off with a 2:11.32. Sophomore Madeleine Sumner ran a 2:13.53 and junior Allison Glossinger ran a 2:16.16 on the third leg. Senior Madison Offstein closed with a 2:13.17.
Earlier at the Penn Relays, on Thursday the Tigers tested out its distance medley relay for the first time this season. The DMR took eighth in the Championship of America race at 11:28.46. Junior Brighie Leach led off with a 3:29.12 in the 1200 leg and Glossinger ran 57.78 in the 400. Junior Anna Jurew posted a 2:14.11 on the 800 leg before junior Alie Fordyce's 4:47.47 on the 1600-meter leg.
Seven Tigers ran in the 1500 at the TCNJ Invitational on Friday. Senior Delaney Miller had the top time, placing second at 4:32.45. Taking spots 4-5-6-7, all four Tigers ran PRs with junior Laura Hergenrother posting a 4:34.69, sophomore Sierra Castaneda at 4:34.69, Mim Buscher a 4:35.28 and freshman Katherine Leggat-Barr a 4:36.51.
Princeton will compete in the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships next weekend, May 5-6 at Franklin Field.
