No. 15 Princeton Upsets No. 13 Indiana, 10-8, Drops Saint Francis, 15-7

BOSTON – The No. 15 Princeton Tigers (15-7, 2-0 CWPA) opened up Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) action in impressive fashion, taking down the No. 13 Indiana Hoosiers (21-7, 2-3 CWPA), 10-8, and the Saint Francis Red Flashes (12-12, 0-4 CWPA), 15-7, at Blodgett Pool on Saturday.

Indiana raced out with the first two goals of the game and three of the first four tallies before Princeton rallied to tie the CWPA meeting at 3-all after the first quarter. The Hoosiers registered the first goal of the second frame, but goals from Amy Castellano and Haley Wan put Princeton ahead, 5-4, at the intermission.
Each squad exchanged tallies in the third quarter as the Tigers took a 6-5 advantage into the final stanza. After Indiana tied the contest at 6-all, head coach Becca Dorst's team ripped off three consecutive goals. The Hoosiers got within two with 1:11 to go, but was held off the scoreboard the rest of the way.
