2018 Schedule
PRINCETON, N.J. – After an Ivy League title last season, the Princeton Tigers have released their 2018 schedule.
Â
"We are very happy with the schedule we have put together for 2018," said head coach Carla Tagliente. "We have a very challenging non-conference schedule and the strength of the Ivy League is better than it's ever been. It's important that we train well this summer and come in ready to compete. As well, it is vital that we approach the season with a growth mindset and an intent to be better each and every day."
Â
The Tigers open the season at Penn against two NCAA Tournament squads in North Carolina (Aug. 31) and Wake Forest (Sept. 2). The Tar Heels ended Princeton's season in the NCAA Quarterfinals last November.
Â
The non-conference portion of the schedule hardly lets up with two more NCAA quarterfinalists in Penn State (Sept. 4) and Duke (Sept. 7). The contest vs. Duke will be the Tigers' home opener at Bedford Field.
Â
After a trip to Rutgers (Sept. 9), Tagliente's unit begins a stretch of four straight home games against the Monmouth Hawks (Sept. 14). The 2016 National Champion, Delaware Blue Hens, make the trip to Princeton on Sept. 16 before the 2017 finalist Maryland Terrapins battle the Tigers (Sept. 18) two days later. The Ivy League portion of the season gets started against Dartmouth (Sept. 22).
Â
Following a trek to Yale (Sept. 28), the Boston University Terriers, who reached the 2017 NCAA Tournament, come to Bedford (Sept. 30) to wrap up the month of September. The Tigers begin October with trips to Columbia (Oct. 5) and the 2017 National Champion Connecticut Huskies (Oct. 7). The Tigers have Brown (Oct. 13) and Harvard (Oct. 20) at home before traveling to Cornell (Oct. 27). The regular season finale takes place at home against Ivy rival, Penn (Nov. 5).
