Samara Named Coach of the Year; 24 Named All-Ivy League

Capturing the program's ninth triple crown in program history the Princeton men's track & field team swept the major awards as the Tigers claimed their 19th Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championship.
Head coach Fred Samara was unanimously selected as Coach of the Year. Samara, who was inducted into the National Hall of Fame this past December, has won the honor six of the eight times it has been awarded and has won a total of 43 Ivy League team titles.
Senior Mitchel Charles was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet as he won both the shot put and the discus in his final Ivy Heps. Senior Josh Ingalls was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet, running the second-fastest time in meet history to win the 800 before anchoring the 4x800 relay to a second-place finish.
Incredibly of the 62 all-Ivy League honors that were awarded, 38 percent were claimed by Princeton Tigers - a total of 24 all-league honors.
