Beyond The Stripes: On The Mark

When Mark Fossati took the field against Columbia last September, he believed it would be the final league opener of his beloved football career. A few hours later, he believed that football career was finished.
He was wrong on both counts.
Fossati suffered a broken leg — which, as you will learn above, he tried to 'simply tape up' — during the third game of the 2017 season. Had that been a week later, his career would have been finished, but the injury fell just within the guidelines of the NCAA rule that allowed an extra year of eligibility. Fossati, who was on his way to All-Ivy League honors after a brilliant opening 2+ games, made the decision to take the extra year and join the Princeton Class of 2019.
The third episode of "Beyond The Stripes" features the fun-and-football-loving Fossati, who should be a leading force on the Princeton defense that begins its season this weekend at Butler.
