Princeton looks to keep the momentum it started on Wednesday rolling into the weekend as the Tigers host Boston University at 4 p.m., on Sherrerd Field. Princeton is 1-0 when playing on its temporary location after a 2-1 overtime win over Temple during the week.
The Tigers are 2-3 on the season and have nearly doubled their opponents in shot attempts. Senior Sean McSherry sits atop the scoring column with six points on two goals and two assists. Senior Jeremy Colvin, who net the game-winning goal on Wednesday night, along with sophomore Gaby Paniagua and junior Danny Hampton have one goal each. Junior Jacob Schachner sports a 0.98 goals against average and a .688 save percentage with 11 saves on 16 shots this season.
Princeton has the edge in the series with BU, which began five years ago, at 2-0-2. Princeton has won both games when playing on Myslik Field, while both games at Nickerson Field resulted in draws.
The Terriers head into the weekend with a 1-2-2 record after playing Dartmouth to a draw this past Tuesday. Both of BU's road games this year have been ties. If there's one player that the Princeton defense needs to keep an eye on, it's Matt McDonnell. He has scored six of BU's seven goals this season. Toti Knutsson has assisted on three goals and Kari Petursson has a goal and a helper. Mike Bernardi and William Bonnelyche have split time in goal. Bernardi is 0-1-1 with eight saves on 12 shots and Bonnelyche is 1-1-1 with eights saves on 15 shots.
