Princeton Faces Delaware Wednesday Night

Princeton plays its third game in six days as it faces Delaware on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m., at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium.
The Tigers went 0-2 during the opening weekend, with single goal losses at SIUE, 1-0, and at Bradley, 2-1. Junior Danny Hampton is Princeton's lone goal scorer with senior captain Sean McSherry assisting. The Tigers improved in just two days as they outshot Bradley 15-6 on Sunday compared to its five shots on Friday in Edwardsville. Princeton is looking to clean up its defensive restarts as all three goals allowed have come off of free kicks or corner kicks. Junior Jacob Schachner has a 1.50 goals against average and a .625 save percentage, with five saves on eight shots.
Princeton and Delaware are meeting for the first time in more than 30 years. The Tigers are 6-4 in the series with games held every season between 1977-1986.
Delaware is 1-2 on the season, with this being the team's fourth consecutive home game at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium. The team opened with a 1-0 loss to Villanova, a 6-1 loss to Pitt and then defeated Seton Hall 3-1 this past Saturday. Robert Campbell has been a factor in three of the Blue Hens goals, scoring two and assisting on another. Noa Benninga and Ryan Calhoun are the other two goal scorers. Todd Morton has played every minute in goal and has a 2.67 GAA and a .500 save percentage with eight saves and eight goals allowed.
