Hampton Scores Game-Tying Goal at Brown
October 12, 2019 | Men's Soccer
The Princeton defense was solid, allowing just 12 shots overall and only four on target. The effort came after a red card put the Tigers down a man in the 54th minute. Three minutes later the team was stung again when defenseman Alex Charles left the game with an injury.
Senior Jacob Schachner had two excellent saves to give his team a chance to get back in the game.

The chances kept coming for the Tigers with sophomore Ryan Clare sending Brown keeper James Swomley leaping to make a save in the 75th. Clare had another chance in the four minutes later when he got a header on a Hampton restart but the ball bounced just outside the far post.

It was a nearly identical foul location that led to Hampton's goal - this time needing no help at all, as he put the perfect spin on the ball to wind it around the wall and behind Swomley in the 87th minute.
