Bullock's Four-Goal Weekend Highlights No. 6 Princeton's Sweep of Syracuse
October 26, 2019 | Women's Ice Hockey
The Tigers' top line of Maggie Connors, Sarah Fillier and Carly Bullock lit it up over the season's first weekend, and the nation's sixth-ranked Princeton women's hockey team has a sweep of Syracuse to show for it, beating the Orange 3-0 Saturday at Baker Rink.
After the trio had a four-point third period Friday night in which Princeton scored all three of its goals in a 3-1 win, Bullock scored twice in the first period, including just 73 seconds into the game, and Filler and Connors had the assists on both goals.
On the Tigers' first goal less than two minutes in, Connors flipped a pass from the blue line to Bullock, who was behind three Syracuse defenders before deking Orange netminder Allison Small and tucking it inside the left post.
Â
Princeton's second goal came just past the midway point of the first period. Connors found Fillier charging up the center of the ice, and when four Orange defenders converged on her, Fillier threaded a pass to the left to set up Bullock for a one-on-one with Small and a 2-0 lead.

Â
The Tigers will play for the third time in five days when they host Quinnipiac to open the ECAC Hockey League season Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Baker Rink.
