As the schedule stands, Princeton will start Friday against Wright State at 12 p.m. and Liberty at 4 p.m. Saturday, the Tigers will go back-to-back against Valparaiso at 9 a.m. and Bucknell at 11 a.m. The weekend is scheduled to wrap with Delaware State at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Live stats links are available on the schedule page here.
The Tigers return their top two hitters from last season in Megan Donahey (.328, 45 hits) and Mackenzie Meyer (.326, 30 hits, 14 XBH, seven HRs), among six returning field players to play at least 30 games last season. Both Donahey and Meyer earned All-Ivy honors last season, and current Tigers Kaylee Grant, Allison Harvey and Keeley Walsh have also earned All-Ivy recognition during their careers.
In the circle, the Tigers bring back three pitchers who saw time last season, led by sophomore Allie Reynolds, who threw 125 1/3 of the team's 246 2/3 innings last year.
Wright State (2-3) played five games two weekends ago at UAB, winning both meetings with Louisiana-Monroe with a pair of losses to UAB and one to Austin Peay. The Raiders hit .313 on the weekend, led by Madison Whitaker hitting .571, and had a 4.57 ERA with four arms splitting the 30-plus innings. Princeton and Wright State have met once, a Princeton win in 1991.
Liberty (4-6) started its season two weekends ago in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with losses to Notre Dame, Duke, 18th-ranked Baylor and second-ranked Washington after an opening win over BYU. The Flames then went to Texas A&M for five more games last weekend, beating Rutgers twice, splitting with 19th-ranked Texas A&M and losing once to McNeese State. The Flames are hitting .257 as a team, led by Madison Via hitting .360, and have used five arms in accruing a 2.72 ERA with Julia DiMartino (2-3, 1.87) throwing 33 2/3 of the team's 67 frames. Princeton and Liberty have met four times with the Flames winning three. This will be the teams' first meeting since 2015.
Valparaiso (0-5) went to Mississippi State for five games two weekends ago and was swept by No. 24 Mississippi State twice, Middle Tennessee twice and Stephen F. Austin once. The Crusaders are hitting .145 as a team with Jaina Westphal hitting .400 and used four pitchers over those five games in accruing a 7.00 ERA. Princeton and Valparaiso met once, a Crusaders win in Arizona.
Delaware State (1-1) played just two games in a Longwood-hosted event, losing to Robert Morris and defeating MEAC foe Norfolk State. The Hornets are hitting .235 as a team, led by Alexis Roberson and Jaelyn Baker at .500, and used two pitchers, Brianna Baker and Tiffany Diao, in compiling a 6.92 ERA over the 13 innings. Princeton and Delaware State met twice, both Princeton wins and both in 2013.
Bucknell (1-4) played a weekend at LSU two weekends ago, taking two losses to LSU, splitting with Tulsa and taking a loss to Iowa. The Bison are hitting .212 as a team with Jess Hom leading the way at .385, and three pitchers have figured into Bucknell's 3.95 team ERA. Princeton and Bucknell have played just once, a Tiger win in 1998.
