Men's Track and Field Earns Fifth Straight Indoor Ivy Heps Title

Princeton took its 22nd Ivy indoor title and its eighth since 2010. With winning the 2018 Ivy cross country title, the Tigers have secured the first two legs of the Ivy triple crown.

The men's track and field squad had 139.5 points, 28.5 in front of Penn. Harvard was third (103), Columbia was fourth (83), followed by Brown (62.5) Dartmouth (50), Cornell (41) and Yale (30).

Joey Daniels earned his second straight indoor 60m hurdles crown, posting a 7.82, just off his personal-best (7.81). Christian Brown was second (7.93) in his first career final.

Andrei Iosivas earned the heptathlon crown, securing 5,265 points. He picked up a victory in the 60m dash (7.01) and was tied for first in the pole vault (4.65m).

Harry Lord won the 1,000m heptathlon race on his way to fourth place (5,006).

Jeffrey Hollis was second in the high jump (2.12m). Harvard's Donagh Mahon took the event after clearing 2.08m on his first try and 2.12m on his second try. Hollis cleared 2.08m on his second attempt and 2.12m on his third crack. Andrew Diehl completed the high jump in third (2.08m). Jeffrey Lee-Heidenreich (2.04m) earned a half point, tying for sixth. Â

Austin Princewill had the sixth furthest triple jump (15.52m) ever by a Tiger, placing second, while Dayo Abeeb was third also with a career-best (15.46m).

Simang'aliso Ndhlovu dashed to a 6.83 in the 60m final, good for second. Greg Sholars had new career best (6.90), setting the pace in sixth.

Sholars also set a new top time in the 200m dash (21.60), settling for second place. His mark is now the third best in Princeton history. Â

Sam Ellis ran to fourth place (4:07.76) in the mile while Michael Phillippy was fifth in the 400m (49.01). After setting a new personal-best yesterday, Kieran McDermott broke that again, running to fifth in the 500m final (1:03.80). Franklin Aririguzoh (1:52.36) finished sixth in the 800m. Scott Thompson scored a tally for the Tigers (2:27.45) in the 1,000m.

Viraj Deokar (14:28.94) and Matt Grossman (14:29.64) combined for three points for Princeton in the 5,000m. Deokar's pace was a career-low for him.

The 4x400m quad of Sholars, Justice Dixon, Phillippy and Connor Matthews ran fourth (3:17.02). The group of Joe Sartini, Aririguzoh, McDermott, and Sam Ellis scurried to third in the 4x800 relay (7:41.68).
