The Princeton men's swimming and diving team closed the first night of the Ivy League Championships in a three-way tie for third place, though 19 of 21 events still remain on the horizon for a Tiger team looking to make a push at defending champion Harvard.
Princeton closed the day with 104 team points, tied with both host Brown and Yale for third place overall. Harvard swept both the 200 medley and 800 free relays to lead with 128 points, while Penn holds second with 108 points.
The quartet of Cole Buese, Derek Cox, Raunak Khosla and Christian Feiler opened the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:26.83. Buese returned to the pool to anchor the 800 free relay, as he teamed with fellow co-captain Murphy McQuet, as well as Charles Leibson and Jonathan Pollack, to place third in the 800 free relay in 6:28.38.
Thursday begins the first day of preliminary (11 am) and finals (6 pm) sessions, and they will continue on both Friday and Saturday as well. You can watch every session from here on out on ESPN+, and all links can be found above.
