Princeton Set For Crimson Invitational and Start of CWPA Action This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers head to Cambridge, Mass. for the Crimson Invitational this weekend.
The Tigers get Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) action underway when they take on No. 15 Harvard on Saturday (Apr. 2) at 10:30 a.m., before battling No. 11 UC-Davis (4:45 p.m.). On Sunday, head coach Derek Ellingson's group wraps up the Invitational vs. No. 24 Cal-Baptist (10:30 a.m.) and the University of Toronto (3:30 p.m.). Each game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Princeton has lost one time (2004) against Harvard in 44 meetings all-time. The Tigers have won just once against UC Davis (1-4) in 2013. The program has never lost to Cal-Baptist in four tries including an 8-6 victory in 2018.
Amy Castellano leads the Tigers in scoring with 28 goals and 47 points. She has scored a goal in every game except for one and produced eight multi-goal performances. The junior is second on the team in assists (19) behind Lindsey Kelleher (24). The senior sits with 41 points on the season. Six different players have scored at least 10+ goals for the Tigers. Marissa Webb is the squad's top goalie, producing a .530 save percentage in seven starts.
Princeton sits No. 18 in the latest CWPA Varsity Poll. USC remains at the top spot followed by Stanford, Cal., UCLA and Hawaii. Michigan still remains the top CWPA squad at No. 7.
