Princeton Secures 14th Straight Wood-Hammond Trophy

PHILADELPHIA – Princeton secured its 14th straight Wood-Hammond Trophy,disposing of Georgetown and Penn on the Schuylkill River on Saturday afternoon.
In the 1V battle, the Tigers crossed the line at 6:01.05, more than two seconds in front of Georgetown (6:03.35) and Penn (6:03.75).
The 2V8 race featured almost a six-second win by Princeton (6:13.40) while the 3V nabbed an eight-second victory over its Ivy rival (6:34.45). The Quakers' lone win of the day came in the 4V battle. Princeton has won five of its sixth events this season and will host Harvard and Yale for the Goldthwait/Vogel Cups next Saturday (Apr. 27).
