Sophomore Obiageri Amaechi continues to rewrite the Ivy League records book in the women's discus with another historic moment at the 2019 Larry Ellis Invitational this afternoon.
Amaechi won the discus with a new PR of 57.71 (189-4) to out-do the Princeton and Ivy League record she set just two weeks ago. Already the meet recorder holder in the event, she also managed to put it further out of reach from the rest of the competition.
Sophomore Julia Harisay and freshman Jalah Morris also placed in the top five with personal bests. Harisay was fourth with a 44.85 (147-1) and Morris fifth with a 44.45 (145-10). The pair also went 5-6 in the shot put as Harisay found 13.62 (44-8.25) and Morris had another PR as she hit 13.11 (43-0.25) her first time breaking 13 meters.
Another Princeton win came from freshman Hanne Borstlap in the pole vault. Sophomore Alexandra Munson was sixth at 3.60 (11-9.75), matching her PR, in her first competition of the outdoor season.
In the high jump, junior Hadley Wilhoite took second place with a new personal best. She cleared 1.67 (5-5.75) to improve upon her 1.65 from 2017. Freshman Emma Daughtey was ninth with a 1.57 (5-.175).
