Harvard and Columbia are tied in the lead in the Ivy, with whichever team that wins more games this weekend, Harvard at home against Cornell and Columbia at home against Brown, hosting the Ivy League Championship Series. If they remain tied after the weekend, Harvard will host since the Crimson took two out of three from Columbia in the regular-season series. If Princeton wins out and Harvard and Columbia both lose out, the Tigers would gain an Ivy title share but not get the NCAA auto bid. In that scenario, the only one in which Princeton could compile as many wins as the Ivy leaders, Princeton would be in a four-way tie with Harvard, Columbia and Penn. Princeton and Penn would each have four wins within that group and Harvard and Columbia would have five each, giving the Crimson and Lions the tiebreaker. The team, or teams in case of a tie, that finish atop the Ivy this weekend will be Ivy League champions, with the team that wins next weekend's Ivy League Playoff Series earning the NCAA tournament automatic bid.
In conference games, Princeton has the league's best ERA (2.94) and fielding percentage (.975), and third-best batting average (.315). Dartmouth is seventh in ERA (5.04), third in fielding (.966) and fifth in batting average (.302).Â
Dartmouth counts two of the top three hitters by batting average in the league in Ivy games, with Micah Schroder leading the way at .600 (36-60) and Calista Almer third at .448 (26-58). Princeton has three of the top 15, led by senior Kaylee Grant, who is second at .467 (21-45), as well as juniors Megan Donahey at .411 (23-56) and Allison Harvey at .386 (22-57).Â
Sophomore Allie Reynolds has thrown 87 2/3 of the Tigers' 121 1/3 innings in Ivy games and a 3.51 ERA. Shelby Wilkison (4.91) and Madie Augusto (6.43) have combined for 82 2/3 of Dartmouth's 119 1/3 innings in Ivy play.
Dartmouth took two out of three at '95 Field in the teams' series last year, and the Big Green won both meetings annually against the Tigers from 2014-17. Princeton split the twinbill in 2013 and last won the series against Dartmouth the year before, sweeping the 2012 doubleheader.
