Samara Named Coach of the Year as Tigers Claim 13 All-Ivy League Honors

The William M. Weaver Jr. '34 Head Coach of Men's Track & Field Fred Samara has been selected unanimously as the 2019 Ivy League Coach of the Year. Samara led the Tigers to the program's ninth triple crown as he locked in his 46th Ivy League title.

A member of the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame, Samara has been selected as Coach of the Year in the league eight of the 10 times it has been awarded.

Senior Adam Kelly was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet as he claimed his second straight title in the hammer. In his four years Kelly earned 36 points in the event, taking second place as a freshman and sophomore. An All-America in the event, Kelly won this year's Ivy Heps with a mark of 71.15 (233-5).

Kelly is one of seven Tigers that won individual titles, and 13 that earned All-Ivy League honors.
