Incoming Freshmen Loustau, Hart Honored as Gatorade State Players of the Year

Incoming freshmen Marissa Hart and Kamy Loustau were recognized as Gatorade State Players of the Year when the list of the 51 honorees was announced Thursday morning.
Hart, from North Carolina, and Loustau, from Florida, are part of the eight-member Class of 2023 set to arrive on campus this fall.Â
From Gatorade's announcement on Hart:
The 5-foot-8 senior midfielder led the Chargers to a 17-3-1 record and the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 4A state championship this past season. Hart recorded 29 goals and 25 assists, setting up a score in Providence Day's 3-1 win over Charlotte Latin in the state final. A three-time First Team All-State selection, she concluded her prep soccer career with 59 goals and 68 assists. Hart has volunteered locally at a food bank and homeless shelter, and she has donated her time at Camp SOAR for children and adults with special needs.

The 5-foot-7 senior forward led the Spartans to a 21-2 record and an eighth-straight Class 1A state championship this past season. Loustau recorded 32 goals and 22 assists. The Florida Dairy Farmers Class 1A State Player of the Year, Loustau is a four-time First Team All-State selection. The Spartans were 93-2-1 during her four years on varsity, and she concluded her prep soccer career with 100 goals and 75 assists. The president of the St. Johns Country Day student council, Loustau also serves as co-editor in chief of the school yearbook. She has volunteered locally as a youth soccer referee and has donated her time on behalf of multiple community service initiatives through her church.Â
