Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Set for Navy Dual Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's & women's track & field teams will compete for the first time in 2020 on Saturday, January 11 at the Naval Academy Dual in Annapolis, Maryland.
The meet will be the Tigers' second of the season as they hosted the New Year's Invitational inside Jadwin Gymnasium on Saturday, December 7 while select men's distance runners also competed that day at the Boston University Season Opener.
At the New Year's Invitational Katie DiFrancesco re-broke her program record in the 300 meters, crossing the line in 39.29 and topping her previous record of 39.44 set at the New Year's Invite in 2018. The Tigers' earned first-place finishes in eight events on the women's side and six on the men's.
Last Time They Met
The Tigers and Midshipmen are no strangers, having met in a dual meet last season on Sunday, January 6 2019 inside Jadwin Gymnasium. The Tiger men came out on top 95-86 while Navy's women edged Princeton, 89-83.
Scouting Navy
Navy has competed in one meet so far this season, the Navy Invitational on Saturday, November 7. The Midshipmen had a strong opening to their season, posing 36 IC4A/ECAC qualifying marks. The men's team notched 22 and the women 14.
Navy was also heavily featured in the first round of Patriot League weekly awards, capturing four out of the six available. Clayton Thompson and Chloe Alfieri were named Male and Female Track Athletes of the Week while Sethan Hollier and Charlee Morke were honored as Male and Female Rookies of the Week.
