Second Weekend of Softball Season Sends Princeton to George Washington

Following the team's season-opening weekend in Houston, the Princeton softball team will make a closer trip this weekend to George Washington.

Princeton is due to face Georgetown Friday at 10 a.m., Towson Friday at noon, Morgan State Saturday at 11 a.m., George Washington Saturday at 3 p.m., and Morgan State again Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Tigers came out of the first weekend of the season with a .289 team batting average. Sophomore Madison Hamilton led Tigers with more than one at-bat with a .600 BA (3 for 5), and classmate Ali Blanchard popped the Tigers' first home run of the season. Blanchard, senior Caroline Taber and rookie Alexis Laudenslager split time in the circle over the weekend.

Following the weekend, the TIgers will be away from competition until heading to Florida for spring break games beginning March 14.
