COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Basketball announced its 3x3 Olympic qualifying team training camp roster Friday afternoon and three former members of the Princeton University men's basketball team were selected.
Kareem Maddox, Pawel Buczak and Dan Mavraides were named to the roster of 16 along with Craig Moore, who played for Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. The squad of Olympic hopefuls will train from February 13-14 at the Pullman Community Center in Chicago, Illinois.

From that pool of athletes, the USA Basketball 3x3 player selection committee will name four players to represent USA Basketball at the 2020 FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament from March 18-22 in Bengaluru, India. The top three finishing teams will earn berths into the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games 3x3 basketball competition.
Team USA earned its spot in the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament by winning the 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup. That team, which captured the USA men's first FIBA 3x3 World Cup gold medal, featured Maddox. Along with winning goal at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, Maddox also helped Team USA finish in first-place at the 2019 Pan American Games.
Mavraides has also represented Team USA in 3x3 competition, playing in the 2017 FIBA World Cup while represented Team USA at the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Cup.
The 2020 Olympics will see 3x3 basketball included for the first time with eight men's and eight women's teams competing for gold July 25-29 in Tokyo, Japan.
