No. 24 Men’s Tennis Overcomes No. 31 MTSU, 4-1

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 24 Princeton University men's tennis team picked up another win over a nationally ranked opponent Sunday inside Jadwin Gymnasium as the Tigers overcame No. 31 Middle Tennessee State University, 4-1.
"We had a strong performance today and I felt we came out better prepared today for a tough MTSU squad," said head coach Billy Pate. "We had a great start in doubles which carried over to singles wwhere we fon five first sets. MTSU made a push and started gaining some momentum but I was proud of how we were able to close it out. Bill Duo did a great job finishing his match with confidence and sealing the win. We'll have a day off then get back to work in preparation for Penn State on Friday."
Doubles
Princeton was successful in winning the doubles point thanks to a 6-3 win at No. 2 by Damian Rodriguez and Justin Barki over Chris Edge and Tom Moonen and a 6-0 victory at No. 3 by Bill Duo and Karl Poling over Max Rauch and Francisco Rocha.
Singles
Barki continued his strong play, overcoming Slump 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 3 position then Will Peters got the best of Rauch at No. 4, 6-2, 6-2. At No. 6, Duo defeated Pavel Motl 6-1, 7-5.
