No. 18 Men’s Tennis to Face Penn State, William & Mary, NJIT

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 18 Princeton University men's tennis team has a busy weekend ahead as it first takes on Pennsylvania State University then follows against the College of William & Mary and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
The Tigers will take on Penn State on Friday, March 6 at 4 p.m. in State College, Pennsylvania, then follow on Sunday, March 8 at 10 a.m. against William & Mary and at 3 p.m. against NJIT.
Tiger Notes
No. 18 Princeton is 11-4 on the season, taking down No. 31 Middle Tennessee State University 4-1 in its most recent match on Sunday, March 1.
The Tiger's No. 18 ranking is their highest under the tutelage of head coach Billy Pate and along with its team ranking, Princeton also has two ranked doubles teams and two ranked individuals. Payton Holden and Ryan Seggerman are ranked No. 15 while Justin Barki and Thomas Bosancic are ranked No. 66. In singles, Karl Poling was tabbed at No. 113 and Seggerman at No. 124.
Scouting Penn State
The Nittany Lions are 7-4 overall and 0-1 in Big Ten play. In its most recent match, Penn State suffered a 5-0 setback against the No. 4 University of Michigan.
Penn State has one ranked doubles team, No. 49 Christos Antonopoulous and Christian Lakoseljac.
In 2018-19, the Nittany Lions went 20-9 and 8-3 in Big Ten play. Penn State earned selection to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round.
Scouting William & Mary
The Tribe is 7-1 overall and 2-0 in Colonial Athletic Conference (CAA) play. In its most recent match, the William & Mary overcame Elon University 5-2 on Sunday, March 1 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Last season the Tribe went 4-16 and 0-1 in conference play, falling 4-2 to Elon in the CAA Tournament semifinals.
Scouting NJIT
The Highlanders are 1-6 on the season, most recently falling 5-2 to the U.S. Naval Academy on Sunday, March 1 inside the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
In 2018-19, NJIT had a 4-15 record and went 0-7 in conference play.
