Brown enters the weekend atop the league at 4-0. The Bears have handed Princeton and Harvard their only league losses of the season to date, with both teams at 3-1 in the league. Penn, at 2-2, is the only other team at even or better in league play heading into the weekend. Both teams are also in the top 30 in the nation in RPI, with Harvard 18th and Princeton 28th.
On Princeton: The Tigers (11-2-1, 3-1 Ivy) have won two in a row since falling at Brown on Oct. 9, with Tuesday night's win at Lehigh as Princeton's league-best 11th of the season. It's the 15th time in program history and fourth time in six competitive seasons under Sean Driscoll that Princeton has won at least 11 games. Senior Gabi Juarez increased her team-best goal total to eight when she got Princeton on the board late in the first half, and she increased her team-best point total to 21 with an assist on Princeton's second goal at Lehigh just before halftime. Classmate Grace Barbara is Princeton's lead keeper, att 7-2-1 and with a 1.06 GAA.Â
On Harvard: The Crimson (10-1-1, 3-1 Ivy) bounced back from its first loss of the season, last weekend against Brown, with a 3-0 win over Central Connecticut State on Tuesday. While Princeton has outscored its opponents 36-12 on the season, Harvard has done so 30-9. Junior Angela Caloia has 10 of those 30 goals, and rookie Hannah Bebar has nine of the team's 35 assists. Junior Hannah Gardner (8-0, 0.33 GAA) and sophomore Anna Karpenko (2-1-1, 0.87 GAA) have split most of the team's time in goal.Â
Up next: Princeton will have its final regular-season home game on Oct. 30 when Cornell visits for a 1 p.m. start.Â
